 Project Control 
 

Controlling the project during the execution phase involves the control of progress and costs with respect to the original time schedule and budget. It is of paramount importance to timely identify changes and critical issues, before such changes and issues may produce unrecoverable negative effects.

Project Control requires competence and experience, especially in the case of complex projects executed on international basis, where multiple operators are involved (vendors, suppliers of services and contractors), who have assigned portions of their tasks to subsuppliers or subcontractors.

Once the Engineering, Procurement and Constructions activities have been completed, the commissioning phase is started until the start-up of the plant or the entering into operration of the infrastructure. This phase is crucial in case the project is based on innovative or complex technologies.

After the take-over by the Owner, the Operation & Maintenance phase gets started, based on the provisional acceptance of the works.

Final acceptance normally occurs later, eventually when the mechanical guarantees of the works expire.

In all the phases of execution of the project BEN provides ist support for the project control activities, acting as an independent Auditor on behalf and in the interest of the Owner.
